In this space based thermocouple, the cold junction is placed on the shadow of the hot junction. It is noted that, since there is no transfer of heat in the convection process in the outer space, an object placed in a shadow of an other object, it will be significantly cooler than the above object (we must also block the heat 'radiation' from the above object). In this way we can make the two junctions and can make thermoelectricity.
